A Retrospective Study on Identification of Anterior Loop Pattern of Mental Nerve Entry into Mental Foramen in Digital Orthopantomography among South Indian Population

Background: In the premolar location of mandible, mental nerve's entry into foramen pattern is a significant landmark. Different patterns nerve entrance have been discovered. The current experiment was attempted to detect different routes mandible using panoramic radiographs, which are employed in pre-surgical evaluation.
 Materials and Methods: study used total 200 radiographs collected for diagnostic purposes. on both sides were noted radiographs. Straight, looping, perpendicular identified data. data tabulated statistically analysed SPSS software Chi-square.
 Results: existence an anterior loop determined be most usual nerve, accounting 79 percent examined 21 , 6 percent. p value 0.432 0.309, with respect age gender respectively not significant.
 Conclusion: findings obtained from within limits, it can stated that straight common. A radiograph may viable radiological tool detecting should confirmed order plan surgical treatments mandibular region prior surgery.
